Recent Project – Borrello Group of Companies

Project Background

The Borrello Group of Western Australia completed system replacements at both their export abattoirs at Witan Holdings, Gingin and Midwest Beef Processors, Wycombe in September 2019. Commencing installation in June, the integrated export service kill and trading business that incorporates boning and further processing operations choose to get the replacement systems in as quickly as possible with the final aspect of the project, their third party cold stores being Mammoth Cold Storage the final component.

What Triton did

Witan has been fitted with a complete Triton Production Recording and MES Solution incorporating Bookings, Yards, Slaughter Line, Buyer Created and Service Charge Invoice Module, Offal Packing along with Carcase and Carton Loadout. The solution tracks animals from receival on the plant through yards, slaughter and storage where products are sold or loaded to service operators, or transferred to Midwest Beef where boned. The major benefits for the Borrello Group are the ability for a live view of all data through Triton’s cloud based FUSION module which depending upon permissions, provides for each plant or a consolidated view of production, inventory and sales, fusing Triton’s software modules together.

Midwest on the other hand processes the beef quarters each day through their boning and food service rooms ensuring yield, inventory and giveaway are monitored. Sales are entered and cartons are scanned to specific export or domestic carton loads. “Any system change is a large investment for any business but the increased speeds in weigh labelling, efficiencies in eliminating double entry and the improved visibility of all areas of the business including improved accuracies of inventory, continue to make our decision to go with Triton the correct one” Danny explained.
